How does BIBO compare to a whole-house water filter?
On the face of it, a “whole house” water filter seems like a simple option. You filter the water where it enters your home, and then all of your taps deliver filtered water.
You’ll need a plumber to install the system and to replace either the whole unit or water filters every couple of years. Prices range from simple systems for around £100, to £1,000s for top-of-the-range filter systems.
Of course, you also won’t get instant hot or instant chilled water. And if you filter all of your water supply, you waste a lot of filtration for water you don’t intend to drink – including every time you flush your toilet (the biggest use of water in many homes).

The hot water element is fantastic but I have to say the cold water doesn’t taste like bottled water you can still taste the chemicals in the water so that side I’m not overly impressed with.
